TeesPrint have been working with Aldi for a number of years providing them with both Point of Sale and internal usage print.
In early 2023 Aldi approached TeesPrint to look at large dry wipe Review Boards for management usage in stores to help improve branch organisation and performance.
They asked us to design and develop boards for every store within two UK regions as part of a trial pilot to assess both the effectiveness of the boards and ensuring they were robust and fit for purpose for repeat usage before committing to a national roll out.
After a number of design tweaks over the two year testing phase Aldi were happy that the boards we manufactured were both fit for purpose and supported the improved in-store performance they wanted.
Aldi loved our flexibility, innovation, value for money and ability to work to some very tough deadlines. As a result Aldi asked TeesPrint to role out the boards to supply every single store (over 1200) in both the UK and Republic of Ireland.
We finalised artwork and to give them compete confidence we delivered a pre-production sample to the management team for a physical sign off.
A huge operation the team at TeesPrint had three weeks to manufacture and deliver across UK and Eire 1200 bespoke A0 size printed boards with a special dry wipe laminate. TeesPrint robustly packed the boards on pallets supplying 13 distribution centres with each board having an individual protective wrapping for regional distribution to the stores by Aldi.
TeesPrint co-ordinated the whole delivery process providing timely updates to the Aldi National Projects team along with up to date tracking and dispatch dates for each pallet and when they would be arriving at the Regional Distribution Centres. Our logistics and communication throughout the process provided the national team at Aldi with everything they needed to stay informed and to update their regional teams on timescales and delivery windows.
Aldi were delighted with how we managed the whole process from beginning to end, ensuring robust quality control while meeting timescales and deadlines. Most of all they loved how organised we were in managing the logistics of such a large project keeping them informed at every step and giving them complete confidence in us delivering a successful project for them.
TeesPrint are working on other pilots for Aldi and we look forward to growing our relationship with them on a national level.
